Tracy, Minnesota - Services for Doris Lindstrom, 93, of Tracy will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Tracy. Burial will be in the Tracy Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home in Tracy is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Lindstrom died Sunday, Feb. 1, 1998, at the Prairie View Health Care Center in Tracy.

Doris M. Chapman was born March 5, 1904, in Sutherland, Iowa, to A. C. and Nellie (Warren) Chapman. The family moved to Lemmon, S. D., in 1908 where they lived in a sod house until 1911 when they moved to Larabee, Iowa. In 1917, they moved to a farm near Currie. She received her formal education in rural schools. In July 1926, she and Carl Lindstrom were married. She worked as a nurse’s aide for several years in the Tracy area. In 1937, they moved to Cherokee, Iowa where they lived until 1941. Then they moved to Tracy and farmed until 1946 when they moved to Lindstrom and the Spring Lake area. In 1967, they retired and moved back to Cherokee, Iowa where they helped their son, Duane in his hardware store. In 1971, they moved back to Tracy and lived in Centennial Homes. Carl died in July 1972, and she moved into the Christian Manor Nursing Home in 1992.

Survivors include her son, Bruce of Bloomington, 11 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and brother Vere Chapman of Marcus, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, one son, two infant children and six brothers and sisters.
