Mrs. Wilberding Taken By Death
Mrs. Francis B. Wilberding, 64, of Marcus died in an Omaha hospital Friday, July 14, after a brief illness.Mrs. Wilberding was born Marie A. Knott, daughter of Frank J. and Mary Knott, October 2, 1902, at Dundee, Minn.
She became the bride of Francis Wilberding in 1930, in Dundee. Following their marriage the couple moved to Remsen, Iowa where they lived until coming to Marcus in 1934. Her husband has been in the farm seed business for many years.
Survivors include the widower; four daughters, Miss Sandy Wilberding and Mrs. Richard Barry, both of Omaha, Mrs. Tom Hueser of Marcus and Mrs. Donald Kolker of Le Mars; her mother, Mrs. Mary Knott of Dundee, Minn.; three sisters, Mrs. Walter Peterson and Mrs. Ben Disteldorf, both of Dundee and Mrs. Donald Mathia of Dumont, Minn.; two brothers, Francis of Dundee and Leo of Van Nuys, Calif.; and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday morning in Holy Name Church in Marcus with the Rev. Robert O’Reilly officiating. Interment was in St. Mary’s cemetery in Remsen with the Nelson Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were Pat Mulvany, Carl Klingborg, James Nielsen, Walter Nielsen, Eric Carlson and Robert Ames.
