Marcus - Hugo Nelson, 62, died Sunday morning, September 23 at his home south of here.
He was born August 3, 1894 in Sweden. He had resided in the Marcus community 43 years.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen; two sons and one daughter: Stig Nelson of Independence, Mo.; Ted Nelson, Marcus; Mrs. Margaret Berry, Odessa, Tex.; also, grandchildren Steven and David; a brother Ivar, Marcus; one sister, Mrs. Thyra Peterson, Marcus.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 26 from Carmel Lutheran Church in Marcus. The casket will not be opened after the service.

Burial is to be in Marcus Amherst Cemetery. The Reverend C.W. Samuelson will officiate. Nelson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
