Mrs. Thos. Bird, in response to a telegram announcing the death of her mother, Mrs. Delaney, left Saturday for Marcus, Iowa. Mrs. Delaney was at the home of her daughter at Rock Rapids, Iowa. Remains were brought to Marcus for burial. Mrs. Bird has the sympathy of her many friends in the loss of her kind mother.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Bridget who was born May 4, 1840 and died June 2, 1916. She is buried in Holy Name Cemetery in Marcus.
