Mrs. Nancy Conley died at the home of Wm. Conley near Washta, Sunday, April 13, aged 83 years and 9 days. Nancy A. Bracken was born in Indiana March 28, 1830. She was married to Michael Conley April 10, 1846. To this union were born eleven children of whom six sons, Michael, Samuel, Philip, George and Frank of Cherokee county and John of Tennessee, and two daughters, Mrs. Ann Hahn of Washta and Mrs. Rhea A. Maranel of O’Brien county survive her. Her husband passed away in October 1890. In early life she united with the Methodist church. The funeral was conducted by rev. J. J. Davies at the M. E. church Tuesday afternoon and the remains were laid in rest in the Washta cemetery.
