Mrs. Jack "Lurline" Watts, 82, of Nashville, Illinois and formerly of Cherokee, Iowa passed away Friday, June 17th in the Friendship Manor Health Care Center in Nashville, Ill.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 21st at 10:30 a.m. from the Memorial Presbyterian Church in Cherokee. Rev. Ray Kruger will officiate and burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee, Iowa. The Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee is in charge of the arrangements.
She was born on May 31, 1912 at Shenandoah, Iowa to Ora and Mary M. Davis Bell. She was married to H.A. "Jack" Watts on February 15, 1934 at Des Moines, Iowa. She had served as Cherokee County Treasurer for several years. She was a former member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church in Cherokee, Iowa. She had been a resident of Nashville, Ill. since 1989, prior to this living in Lake View, Arkansas and also in Cherokee, Iowa for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack on June 20, 1982, and three sisters: Margarite Campbell, Boreas Wilson, and Bernadine Bell.
She is survived by one son: Larry Watts and his wife Sharon of Nashville, Illinois, two grandchildren: Denise Perry and her husband Stacey of Leawood, Kansas; Kristen Watts of Aurelia, Iowa; one Great Grandson: Marcus Perry; one brother: Rex Bell and his wife Jeanne of Madison, Wisconsin; one brother-in-law Don Wilson of Sioux City, Iowa.
