Thomas F. Wilkie, 16, rural Larrabee, died Wednesday in St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital, Sioux City, after suffering a stroke. Prior to being transferred to the Sioux City hospital, he had been hospitalized in Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital in Cherokee since Dec. 19.

Tom Wilkie was born June 12, 1960, to Mrs. And Mrs. George Wilkie. He was a junior at Washington High School.

Survivors include his parents; a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wilkie, Cherokee, and a grandmother, Mrs. John Campbell, Cherokee.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Alfred (Freddy) in 1974 and his grandfather, John Campbell.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Cherokee. Father John Patterson will officiate. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday in the Greenwood Funeral Home, Cherokee. The Ladies Union will have a lunch after the service in Immaculate Conception Church Hall.

Burial will be in Cedar Cemetery, Larrabee.
