Mrs. Helen G. Fogleman, 94, Cherokee, died Monday May 20 at 6:19 pm at her home due to an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 23, at 2 pm from the Memorial Presbyterian Church, Rev. Ray Kruger will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery. There will be a family prayer service at 1:45 pm at the church on Thursday. The Boothby Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

She was born Dec 27, 1896 in Cherokee County to John and Clara Roth Williams. She graduated from Cherokee High School in 1914. She taught country school for a few years. She was married to Harlow J. ogleman on Aug 27, 1919 in Ida County, She had worked as a clerk in various grocery stores in Cherokee for many years. Her home was at 622 Park Ave. She had lived in the Cherokee area all of her life. She was a member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church and the VFW Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harlow, on June 23, 1958, a son, Kenneth on Dec 28, 1988, also four brothers and one sister.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marge and Dale Sleezer Sr. of Aurelia; eight grandchildren, Mrs. J.R. (Pat) Johansen of Cherokee, Dale (Butch) Sleezer Jr of Aurelia, Mrs. David (Janet) Sullivan of Aurelia, Robert Sleezer of Aurelia, Debra Wesly of Waterloo, Mrs. Jeff (Nancy) Schwieso of Manning, Steven Fogleman of Manning, and Mrs. Rob (Carmen) Yancey of West Des Moines; and 15 great grandchildren.
