Clifford W, Conley

Clifford W. Conley, 69, died Monday, May 19 at 3-15 p.m. in Cherokee after a n illness of one year. He had farmed in Willow Township all of his life. He was a former member of the Board of Supervisors for two years. He was a veteran of World War I.

His survivors include his wife, Ethel; one son, Harold Hunter of Calumet; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Lambert of Norfolk, Va., and Mrs. Gladys Mahn of Calumet Also surviving are three sisters, Fern Conley and Mrs. Ray Hamilton, both of Washta and Mrs. Vern Fouts of Rockwell City and two brothers, Elmer and Ernest Conley, both of Washta.

Funeral services are to be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 22, from the Washta Methodist Church. The Rev. Max Paige will officiate. There will be a prayer at the family farm home at 1:30 p.m. Burial is to be at the Washta Cemetery under direction of Boothby Funeral Home.
