WASHTA — Lyle C. Kissinger, 69, of Washta died today in Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He had been a resident of the Washta area for 40 years. He had farmed most of his life, retiring in 1978.

Mr. Kissinger was born June 21,1911, at Anthon. He married Irma Cowan. He was a member of the Washta United Methodist Church and the IOOF Lodge

Survivors include a son, David, Spencer; two grandchildren, and. a sister, Carrie Davis, Milford.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on Feb. 6, I960; a daughter, two brothers and a sister.

Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Washta United Methodist Church. The Rev. Wallace Parmer will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset View Cemetery under the direction of the Boothby Funeral Home, Cherokee
