Ronald P. Pigott, 39, of Cherokee died Oct. 4 at University in Iowa City following a year's illness.

He was born Sept. 9, 1933, at Cherokee and was married to Lorraine Gronemeyer. Prior to his illness, he was employed as a mechanic with Cherokee Implement Co.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, David of Cedar Rapids and Deane of Ames; his father, Paul Pigott of Cherokee; his mother, Mrs. Mildred Pigott of Cedar Rapids; a brother, James, Marshalltown; a sister, Mrs. Monica Robinson, Las Vegas, Nev.; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Emma Reinert and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Pearl Pigott, both of Cherokee.

Funeral services will be announced later by the Greenwood Funeral Home.
