Martin Donahoe Dead.

The remains of Martin Donahoe, a former resident of this county, were brought to this city from Remsen for interment in the Catholic cemetery yesterday. Mr. Donahoe died on Sunday evening at 5 o’clock, after an illness of about ten days. His affliction was Bright’s Disease. He was 66 years of age. He was a native of County Wexford, Ireland, and came to America at the age of 25 years, in company with Thos. Collister of this county who afterwards married a sister of deceased. He settled at Galena, Ill., and removed with his family to this county thirteen years ago, residing for a time in Pilot township and afterwards in Rock. About three years ago he moved to a farm near Remsen. His wife and seven children, four sons and three daughters, survive him, all single except one daughter-Mrs. Wm. Corrington, who resides near Oyens.

The news of his death was received with great sorrow by many old friends here, who remember him as a good citizen and a good neighbor. The family, to whom he was all that a kind-hearted and affectionate husband and father could be, have the sympathy of many friends here in their time of great sorrow.
