Mrs. Ambrose S. Perry, another of
the old residents of Cherokee county,
died very suddenly at her home, 315

Jan. 19, of appoplexy. Mrs. Perry
had just arisen from her bed and complained
to her husband of having a
severe headache. She had only spoken
a few words when she fell over on the
bed and expired, death being almost
instantaneous A physician was hastily
summoned but his services were of no
avail.
The funeral services will be beld at
the M. E. church on Tuesday at 1:30.
All friends of the family who wish to
view the remains are requested to call
at the house before noon.
Mrs. Perry was born in Wisconsin
June 24, 1851, and was united in marriage
with Mr. Perry in 1860. They
came from Waverley, Iowa, to Cherokee
in 1871 and settled on a farm in
Alton township, where they resided until
a year or so ago, when they moved to
the city. Besides her husband the deceased
leaves a son and two daughters
to mourn. The marriage of the youngest
daughter to Mr, Frank N. Phipps
took place on Wednesday last. Much
sympathy will go out to the husband
and father in his time of sore affliction.
