Elizabeth(Betty)Lynch Hesch passed away July 17, 1997 in Tempe, Arizona, at the age of 72. She was born April 21, 1925 to Walter D. and Edna Blake Lynch.

Betty graduated from Spencer Iowa High School in 1943. She worked briefly as a secretary after graduating from the College of Saint Catherine, St. Paul, Minnesota in 1947. Then she joined the Cadet Nurse Corps, becoming a registered nurse.

On Aug. 5, 1947, she married Herbert S. Hesch. Following Herb's discharge from the army, they moved to the Hesch family farm at Little Falls,Minesota. They later lived in California, Florida, and Arizona.

Survivors are two sons, John and Steven; three daughters, Ann and her husband, Daniel Varner, Linda and her husband, David Alkove, Irene Hesch and a sister-in-law, Anita Lynch. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother, Jack Lynch.

Mass was held at St. Edwards Catholic Church, Phoenix, Arizona, July 21, 1997 at 8:oo a.m. with Father Don Kline officiating.
