William Roger Mason, 51, Forest Knolls, Calif.,formerly of Cherokee, died March 2 after a lengthy illness.Memorial services will be at 9:30 a.m. March 5 at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. The Rev. James Albertson, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Cherokee will officiate. Burial was in California. He was born Sept. 8, 1923, in Cherokee.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Roy (Margaret) Mason of Newton; and two sisters, Mrs. John Henry (Mae) Menke of Sutherland and Mrs. Cletis (Dorothy)Lenz of Newton.
