Wm. Hale was born Nov. 9 1826, in Bradford, New Hampshire. At the age of 18 he went to Henniker, where he remained until he was 20 years years old.In 1846 he married Angie Caldwell and moved to Pecatonica, Ill. In 1881 his wife died.He afterward married Priscilla Richardson, who passed away April 21, 1910, since which time he has made his home with Mr. & Mrs. James J. Scott on the farm. He departed this life Friday morning at 1:30, having had two strokes of paralysis eight weeks apart. He was a member of the Baptist Church of Cherokee and a noble Christian. The funeral services were held from the Scott home Saturday afternoon at 1:30, conducted by Rev. A. Amil Oestreich, pastor of the Baptist Church.
