Mrs. Nettie Powell of Pierson Dies - after Long Illnes

Funeral Services for Mrs. Nettie Powell, 77, Pierson, who died Tuesday at her farm home after a long illness, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Meadow Star Evangelical United Bretheran church near Washta.

Burial will be at Grand Meadow township cemetery under direction of the Dickison funeral home of Kingsley.

Mrs. Powell was born April 19, 1883 in Cherokee County. She was married Feb 24, 1904 to Aftin C. Powell.

Survivors include the widower; a son, Dale of Kingsley; two brothers, George Hodge of Merill and Thomas Hodge of Pierson, six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
