Death of Mrs. Daisy Bagenstos

Funeral Services for Mrs. Daisy Bagenstos, a long time resident of Holstien Community passed away at a nursing home in Cherokee Sunday evening at the age 75 years, after an illness of a few months, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Holstien Methodist church. Rev. B. J. Plummer of Marcus, Ia. officiated at the services. Evelyn Ratbert and Charles Ewoldt sang.

The pallbearers were, Ed Jatbo, Elvin Leonard, LuVern Leonard, LuVern Walters, Holly Smith, and Harland Bauer.

Mrs Daisy Bagenstos was born January 22, 1876 in Cherokee Co. She was married to Arthur Bagenstos and they farmed near Holstien until 1926 when they moved to Holstien. Mr. Bagenstos died in 1935.

She is survived by two sons Lester and Ray both of Holstien and a daughter Miss Pearl Bagenstos of Fort Madison, Iowa, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two other children.

Burial was in the Silver cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Earl Hansen funeral home.
