Mrs. Caroline Anderson, 87 died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Beaton, Wednesday. Mrs. Anderson and her husband, who preceded her in death 10 years ago came to Marcus 50 years ago from Illinois and were among the early settlers in Cherokee county.

She was born in Sweden. Four children are surviving: Albert Anderson, A. O. Anderson, and Carl Anderson, of Marcus; Mrs. Johnson, of Granite Fallis, Minn., and Mrs. George Beaton, of Marcus. Another son Dellus, of Lake Benton, Minn. died eight years ago.

Funeral services for the deceased were held from the Carmel Lutheran Church in Marcus Sunday at two o'clock.
