Mrs. Elmer Johnson; Cherokee Resident

Mrs. Elmer (Pearl) Johnson, 64, of 515 S. Craig Dr., Cherokee, died Thursday morning in Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital, Cherokee, after a two-year illness. She had been a resident of Cherokee forme past 40years.

Pearl Tullis was born July 11,1912, in Winter, S D. On Oct. 26,1932, she married Elmer G. Johnson in Brunsvflle, Iowa. Mrs. Johnson was a member of St Paul's United Methodist Church, Cherokee.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Larry, Meriden; four grandchildren; brothers, Frank Tullis, Sioux City, and Lloyd Tullis, Hinton, and sisters, Mrs.Don (Mona) Lund, Remsen; Mrs. Chris (Hazel) Johnson, LeMars, and Mrs. Ray (Lilla) Marine, Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Wilbur and Howard.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in St Paul's United Methodist Church, Cherokee, with the Rev. James Albertson officiating. There will be a family prayer service at 1:30 p m. at the church.

Burial will be in Liberty Township Cemetery under the direction of the Boothby Funeral Home, Cherokee.
