ELLSWORTH, Iowa - Robert Eugene "Bob" Petersen, 58, of Ellsworth died Tuesday, June 13, 2000, of injuries from an automobile accident.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ames, Iowa with the Rev. Steve Chellew officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. at Morgan Township Cemetery in Schleswig, Iowa with the Rev. Lee Mentink officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the Adams Funeral Home in Ames.

Mr. Petersen was born Oct. 4, 1941, in Denison, Iowa, the son of Walter and Hazel (Carlson) Petersen. He married Virginia Yockey on Nov. 3, 1962 in Charter Oak, Iowa. He married Loretta Peterson in 1994, they later divorced. He had lived in Ames since 1984. He was the owner of Hotel Barber Shop.

Survivors include his father of Schleswig; two sons, Steven of Omaha, and Brian of Las Vegas; his twin brother, Roger of San Diego; and one granddaughter, Alaina.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
