INJURY RESULTS FATALLY AT LAST

Mrs. W. C. Adsit Dies at Advanced
Age from Results of Fracture
Sustained in August, 1922

Sarah A. Adsit, wife of W. C. Adsit, died at the family home, Tuesday evening, at the age of 88 years. Until August, 1922, she had been in perfect health attending to her housework and enjoying life to the full. At that time she sustained a fracture of her hip by a fall and for seven months she had been bedfast, the injury being the direct cause of death.

She is survived by her husband, the oldest resident of the city and by four sons and two daughters. The children are Ray Adsit, county treasurer; W. A. Adsit, deputy treasurer; Charles Adsit, Huron, S. D., Lew Adsit, Los Angeles; Miss Lottie Adsit, Great Barrihgton, Mass., and Miss
Ruth Adsit, Laramie, Wyoming. Funeral arrangements have not been made. It is expected that all the children with the possible exception of Lew Adsit, will be here.

Deceased was a native of New York. With her husband, who is a native of Massachusetts, she came to Cherokee county in 1876. For some time the family occupied a Mill Creek farm, later removing to town. She was wholly devoted to her family. Her life was one of continuous loving
sacrifice to husband and children. Her hopes were all for their best pleasures and her greatest reward was in their happiness. She had had the experience, all too rare to have her work and affection appreciated and reciprocated. In her illness all that could be done in her service had been done by those she loved and who returned her affection.
