Former Primghar Man Buried at Cherokee

Funeral services for Harvey Means of Aberdeen, 87, who died at St. Luke's hospital Sunday afternoon, were at the Nelson funeral home at Marcus, Iowa, Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. W. O. Daily officiating. Burial was at Cherokee, Iowa.

Harvey Means was born at Everett, Pa., April 29, 1858. He farmed all his life at Cherokee, and Dixon, Ill., before retiring because of old age. He married Elizabeth Bell at Dixon, in 1893. Mr. and Mrs. Means moved to Aberdeen two years ago to be with their only daughter, Mrs. Charles J. Dalthorp. He and his wife lived at 410 8th Ave., S. E., until the time of his death. The body was at the Gates funeral home until shipped to Cherokee. Only survivors are his wife and daughter, Mrs. Dalthorp.
