Janice E. (Kruse) Cuthrell
October 6 1943 - April 9, 2011

Janice E. (Kruse) Cuthrell, 67, of Colorado Springs, CO, formerly of Aurelia and Sioux City, beloved wife of Ronald Cuthrell and loving mother of Lori and Tim, passed away April 9, 2011, at a local hospice following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Memorial services will be 4pm Saturday at Eastborough Church of the Nazarene in Colorado Springs. A celebration of life service will be held in late June 2011 in Aurelia, Ia.

Janice was born October 6, 1943 in Sioux City to Raymond and Ethel (Johnson) Kruse. She graduated from Aurelia High School in 1962 and attended NBT business College in Sioux City, IA.

She was united in marriage to Ronald Cuthrell on November 25, 1964 in Marcus, Iowa. She lived in Cherokee, Iowa for 19 years and worked at Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital and other local businesses. They moved to Tucson, AZ in 1985 and managed apartments near the University of Arizona campus. In 2003, they moved to Colorado Springs to be closer to her children and grandchildren, where she lived out her life. Janice worked as an executive assitant for Analytic Services Inc. for the past seven years.

Surviors included her husband, Ronald Cuthrell; her daughter, Lori Young (William) of Colorado Springs, her son, Tim Cuthrell of Pine Haven, Wyoming; brothers Tom (Judy) Kruse, Don (Jean) Kruse, and Roger Kruse, all of Texas; grandchildren, Bradley Young, Michael Young, Rebekkah McSpadden, Trisha Young, Katie Cuthrell, Spencer Cuthrell, And Adam Cuthrell; great-grandchildren, Tierrah and Matthew McSpadden; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a great grandson, Skylar McSpadden.
