Harold Wilbur Goodrich was born August 12, 1902 at Cleghorn, Cherokee, Iowa to Merton Elmer Goodrich (1871-1964) and Emma Eliza Mitchell (1876-1960).

He married Marie Louise Gunderson on August 26, 1933 at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa. The couple had 2 children.

Harold died December 31, 1990 at Boone Wautagua, North Carolina. He was buried at Meriden Cemetery, Meriden, Cherokee, Iowa.
