January 19, 1909 - May 13, 1971Funeral services were held from St. Paul's Lutheran Church Saturday afternoon for Monrad C. Paulson, 62, who passed away Thursday, May 13, 1971, in Cherokee following a short illness. Pastor E. J. Wehrspann conducted the services.
Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with the Wharton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers were: Lou Pfaff, Lyle Whiting, Carlos Bryan, Ralph Flagman, John Christensen, and Harry Howell.
Monrad Clair Paulson, son of Ole and Gina Paulson, was born January 19, 1909, near Aurelia. He married Edna Rose Ruebsam on May 25, 1936. They made their home in Aurelia. He was a member of the U. S. Postal Service for forty years, having worked as a clerk, postmaster, and rural carrier. He also served as secretary to the Board of Education of the Aurelia Community School District for many years.
Survivors include two sisters: Mrs. John Quinn, of Alta, and Mrs. Charles Schulke, of Aurelia, and a brother, Helmer, of Nemaha. His wife, Edna, preceded him in death August 7, 1970.
