The McCready, Aurrella (Dresser) obituary which is previously posted as of 22 February 2008, has several errors. The following information corrects those mistakes and gives additional information:

Contributor: Connie (Kelly) Ellis - Dresser/Hawkins Descendant and researcher. Arvilla was the twin sister to my gt.gt. grandmother Rozilla (Dresser) Webb. Arvilla was called "Vill" and Rozilla was called "Zill".

CORRECTIONS:
1. Her name is ARVILLA (DRESSER) MCCREADY.
2. The married name of her one daughter is listed incorrectly. It should be Mrs. John KLEMA, not Kelma

In 1869 Robert and Arvilla (Dresser) McCready left Postville, Iowa in Allamakee County to farm land near Cherokee, Iowa, which was given to them by her father, Calvin Dresser. They slept under a wagon box until they could get lumber to build a home on the farm. The land continued to remain in the McCready family until 1990 when their granddaughter, Myrna (McCready) Nichols of Evansdale, Illinois *daughter of Albert and Katherine McCready* passed away. All of the buildings on the farm had been removed and the land was farmed on contract basis.

NOTE OF THE RESEARCHER: I do not know who purchased the farmland after the death of Mrs. Nichols. I have quite a few pictures and additional family information on this family. PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU ARE A DESCENDANT AND HAVE INTEREST IN THIS FAMILY.
