Mrs. Elizabeth Wogahn died Saturday evening, Mar. 24, at her home in Aureila. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, from the home and from the Lutheran church in Aurelia, with burial in the Aurelia Cemetery.
Elizabeth Tonn was born January 9, 1853, at Nakle, Germany. She came to America with her mother in 1871, first locating at Ann Arbor, Michigan. In August, 1874 she and William Wogahn were united in marriage; in 1880 they removed to Iowa and came to farm three miles south of Aurelia. They lived here until about thirteen years ago when they moved into town.
She was preceded in death by three children, Carl and William who died at about the age of five, and one other in infancy. Survivors include her husband, and six children: Fred L., John C., Gus A., Mrs. Henry Sump. Henry E., and Minnie, all who live in this community. Five grandchildren also survive her.
