OBITUARY

The funeral of Mrs. Wilson Bowers was held at the home in Afton township Sunday afternoon June 17, at 2 o’clock, conducted by Rev. C. H. Young, and the remains laid to rest in Pleasant Hill cemetery. Death resulted from kidney trouble with which she had been suffering to some extent the past nine weeks.

Hattie A. Vincent, daughter of O. D. and Almira Vincent, was born September 11, 1855, at Milton Junction, Wisconsin, and died Thursday, June 14, 1917, at the age of 61 years, 9 months and 3 days.

She was married to Wilson Bowers April 3, 1875. They moved to Minnesota, two years later where they resided four years, then moving to Cherokee county, Iowa. After living here two years they moved to Kansas where they lived seven years, then returning to this county in 1890 and settling in Diamond township. They have since made their home in this community, the past seventeen years on the farm in Afton township.

She leaves to mourn her death, a husband, two daughters, Mrs. Frank Wielond and Mrs. Guy Robinson, and one son, O. C. Bowers, all of Aurelia, besides three brothers and two sisters.

Those from a distance attending the funeral were Mrs. Daisy B. Schrader, a sister from Milton Junction, Wisconsin; Addie V. Gray, a sister from Luverne, Minnesota; Mrs. and Mrs. Luther Pierce and daughter of Danbury, Iowa; James Ogden of Edgerton, Wisconsin; Joe Hayes of Montrose, South Dakota; and Mr. and Mrs. C. S.
