Ralph Reznicek, 85, of San Antonio, Texas, died April 11, 2009. Funeral services were held April 16, 2009 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in San Antonio. Online condolences may be left at www.missionparks.com in the obituary section.

Ralph was born April 29, 1923 in Dodge, Neb. He married his beloved Meredythe Henline while playing as a professional musician. Eventually they settled in Omaha, Neb. where he began working at Wilson Foods Corp. He transferred to the plant in Cherokee in 1973, where he worked until he retired to San Antonio in 1985.

Ralph was an active member of the Cherokee community and a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

Ralph is preceded in death by his loving wife Meredythe.

He is survived by daughters, DiAnne Malfait and husband Ron, Julie Cozad, Angela De La Garza and husband Alex; sons, Stephen Reznicek and wife Cynda, Tim Reznicek and wife Jo Ann, Joe Reznicek and wife Lynn, Mark Reznicek and wife Aimee; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Meredythe Reznicek; parents, Louis and Julia Reznicek; sister, Dorothy Yarpe and husband Duane; brother, Richard Reznicek and wife Eloise; brother-in-law, Edward Kresl. Ralph is survived by daughters, DiAnne Malfait and husband Ron, Julie Cozad, Angela De La Garza and husband Alex; sons, Stephen Reznicek and wife Cynda, Tim Reznicek and wife Jo Ann, Joe Reznicek and wife Lynn, Mark Reznicek and wife Aimee; sisters, Mary Ann Kresl, Rose Marie Jenkins and husband Donald; brothers, Melvin Reznicek and wife Rita, Edwin Reznicek and wife Donna; grandchildren, Amy, Melissa, Micaela, Kimberly, Matthew, Megan, Emily, Leah; great grandchildren, Caleb and Emma; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

SERVICES

A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. A church service will begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
