Kim Hardin

Kim Hardin, 51, of Cherokee, Iowa died Saturday July 26, 2008 in the Country Side Estates following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday August 2, 2008 at the Calvary Chapel, Larrabee, Iowa. Pastor Dave Harkins will officiate. Greenwood Funeral Home, Cherokee, Iowa, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.greenwoodfuneral.com.

Kim was born on March 27, 1957 in Millington, Tennessee to Rollin and Jeanne (Hagen) Klumph. She graduated from Storm Lake High School in 1975. After her graduation she went on to attend Cosmetology School. Kim started her career in cosmetology in Farmington, New Mexico and became a Cosmetology Instructor. Kim married Don Hardin. He preceded her in death. Kim moved to Bellflower, California where she had spent most of her life. In California she worked at the Brown and Root Refinery as a secretary. Kim recently moved to Cherokee to be near her family.

Kim loved to go shopping and work on crafts. She was known for her generosity and strong faith. Kim was a member of the Moose Lodge in Bellflower, California.

She is survived by her mother, Jeanne Ruby of Cherokee, IA; five brothers, Mark Klumph of Cherokee, IA; Pete Peterson of Sioux Falls, SD; David Peterson of Sioux City, IA; Robert Peterson and his wife, Kathy, of Cherokee, IA; John Peterson and his wife, Karen, of Cherokee, IA; aunts, Barbara Nicklas of Castle Rock, WA; Ruby Alice West and Edith; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rollin Klumph; step-father, Darren Ruby; a grandmother, Thela Peterson; an aunt JoAnne Mosch.
