Jean A. Kreutz

Funeral services for Jean A. Kreutz, 73, of Aurelia, will be Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at 10:30 A.M. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurelia, with Pastor Larry Lemke officiating. Burial will be in the Diamond Township Cemetery, rural Aurelia. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 until 8:00, with the family being present from 6:00 to 8:00, at the Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia.

Jean Ann Wagner was born September 11, 1934, the daughter of William J. and Rosa (Cote) Wagner in Iowa City, Iowa. She graduated from high school in Nampa, ID. She worked in the Badgerow Building in Sioux City as a secretary for Dr. Boden.

On January 26, 1957 Jean married Albert Eldon Kreutz at the Cathedral Of The Epiphany in Sioux City. They farmed in the Aurelia area for many years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurelia. Jean enjoyed decorating, painting, and spending time with her family.

Jean died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the Sunset Knoll Care and Rehab Center in Aurelia, where she had been a resident since June 5, 2005.

Preceding Jean in death were her parents, one sister, Leona Lovegreen, and two brothers-in-law, Don Lovegreen and Edwin Jansen.

Survivors include her husband Albert of Aurelia, one daughter, Alura and her husband Gary Otto of Aurelia, and their three children; Erika, Priscilla and Travis Otto all of Aurelia, two sisters, Evelyn Jansen of Boise, ID, and Eileen White of Silverton, OR, one brother, Leo and his wife Cookie Wagner of Sioux City, IA, and other relatives and friends.
