Lyle C. George, 61, passed away after a long illness at his home on April 12, 2008 with his loved ones. A memorial service was held on April 16 at 3 p.m. in Windsor, Calif. A private interment service was held on April 17.
Lyle was born on Oct. 18, 1946 in Cherokee, to his late parents, Henry and Louise George. He grew up in the Maryhill area and graduated from Meriden-Cleghorn High School and Served in the U.S. Air force from 1964 to 1968.
Lyle loved his church, NASCAR racing and he was a role model and a positive support to all his co-workers. He married in 1968 to the love of his life, Janet Brooks George. He dearly loved his children, Michael George and his wife Tiffiny of San Antonio, Texas and Michelle George of Windsor, Calif.; adored grandfather of Ethan and Payton George. His is also survived by his brothers; Lawrence George and his wife Linda of Shenandoah; Daniel George and his wife Vicke of Pahrump, Nev.; Kenneth George and his wife Gayle of Meriden; sister Karen Holbrook of Sioux Falls, S.D.; mother-in-law, Alice Brooks of Windsor, Calif. and numerous nieces and nephews.
