Mrs. George ( Margaret) Banister died Sat. morning. She came to Cherokee County as a bride in 1856 making the trip by ox-cart.
She was married to George Washington Banister on Oct. 7, 1856 and to this union 6 children were born, Eugene A, Triphena E. wife of W.M. Little, Nettie, George Dwight, Charles Allison, and Wellington, the later deceased.

She was the daughter of George and Frances (Warner) Allison and was reared in Woodford County Illinois.
