Peter J. Kohn, 69, dued Saturday, September 30 in Spencer following a short illness.

Prior to living in Spencer, he had farmed in the Maryhill vicinity in Sheridan Township.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son,RobertKohn and a daughter, Mrs. Jake (Ruth) Moermand, both of Hartley; and five grandchildren.Two brothers, Frank Kohn of Quimby and Charles Kohn, Marcus, and three sisters, Kathryn Kohn, Mrs. Matilda Peters and Elizabeth Kohn, all of Cherokee, also survive.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 3 at 9:30 a.m.from Sacred Heart Church at Spencer. Father Leo McCoy was celebrant of Requiem Mass. Lightle-Hayes Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Spencer cemetery.
