Lila Miller

Lila was born June 6, 1918 in Marcus, Iowa to Clair and Mildred (Goodburn) McIntire. She attended schools in the Marcus Public School system. On April 10, 1936 she married Carl H. Miller in Marcus, Iowa. He preceded her in death Sept. 21, 1970. She worked as an aide at the Cherokee Mental Health Institute from 1960-1981. Lila was active in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Women's Circle. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting and will be remembered for her quick wit and keen sense of humor.

Survivors include 3 sons; Ronald Miller, and his wife, Rose; Dale Miller, and his wife, Lana; Allen Miller, and his wife, Joann; 1 daughter, Doris DeForest, and her husband, Allen; 3 brothers, Elmer McIntire, and his wife, Glenda; Earl McIntire, and his wife, Barb; 3 sisters, Merlyn Cronin, Norma Egger, Eleanor Beaton; 3 sisters in law, Peg McIntire, Marge McIntire, Jean Alberty; 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
