Mary Ann Hasenwinkel, 67, of Cherokee, Ia. passed away Wed. May 3rd at her residence. She was born on Sept. 11, 1932 at Cherokee, Ia. to Howard & Mildred (Goodrich) Montgomery. She graduated from Cherokee Wilson High School in 1950. She married Leland L. Hasenwinkel on Feb. 7, 1954 in Cherokee, Ia. She worked for the Cherokee Mental Health Institute as admitting officer and statistition for 37 years retiring on Dec. 15, 1992. She had been a resident of Cherokee all her life. She was a member of the Memoial Presbyterian Church. She belonged to 3 bridge clubs and 3 marathon groups. She loved to play cards. She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband on July 19th , 1990, a daughter LouAnn in infancy and a brother Bill Montgomery. She is survived by 1 daughter and 2 sons; Holly Wilks and her husband Robert of Huntsville Ala.; Paul Hasenwinkel and his wife Bonnie of Orange City, Ia; Matt Hasenwinkel and his wife Mary of Marshalltown Ia. 5 grandchildren; Amanda and J.D. Hasenwinkel; Meredith Wilks; Amber and Seth Hasenwinkel; 2 sisters; Betty Ogilvy of Agoura Hills, Calif.; Joyce Bunker of Lehighton, Penn. and a sister-in-law Dorathy Montgomery of Tucson, Ariz.
Pallbearers were, Bob Conley, Jim Bunkers, T.J. Barthman, Jim Gatewood, Richard Waterbury and Rodney Hasenwinkel.
