Terry Lee Alberts, 51, of Waukee, who was born on May 18, 1955 in Cherokee, died suddenly of natural causes on Nov. 21, 2006 at his home.

Visitation was at Ernst Funeral Home in Waukee. Services were held at the Waukee Christian Church and at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cherokee. Greenwood Funeral Home of Cherokee was in charge of the local arrangements.

Terry loved to play cards and watch football. He was a proud member of the United States Marine Corp. He most recently owned Aire-Master and before that worked at the HyVee Distribution Center in Cherokee for 23 years.

He is survived by his loving wife Kay; children: Natalie (Travis) Sipes, Anthony Alberts, Travis (Larscina) DeWeerd, Brandon DeWeerd, Aaron DeWeerd, Bobby Karau, and Sophie Karau; father, LaVerne (Jake) Alberts; grandson, Wyatt Sipes; siblings, Rick (Kim) Alberts, Rhonda (Jon) Peterson, Tim (Lilly) Alberts, and Lori Alberts and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ella Alberts and sister, Tamela Alberts.
