This obituary was read at the service. Lloyd McCannon, son of Jesse and Hattie McCannon was born May 15, 1897 at Linn Grove. During his youth he lived in Buena Vista and Cherokee counties. Since 1913 he has lived in Clay County, residing in Royal, Langdon and Dickens. In 1931 he moved back to Linn Grove where he has lived since.

He has two daughters, Mrs. Berner Meyer (Iva), Sioux Rapids and Mrs. Harry Freeman (Hazel) of Webb.

United In Marriage
On Dec. 5, 1949 he was united in marriage to Ines Haner of Woodbine. He worked for Clay county for about 22 years. He entered the hospital in Storm Lake on October 25, 1965 and passed away January 28.

Surviving are his wife, Ines, two daughters, 7 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of relatives and friends. He was laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill cemetery in Aurelia.
