Mrs. Elizabeth Foust, wife of Samuel J. Foust, died in this city Thursday afternoon, Oct. 25, at the age of 78. She was born in Union county Pa., Dec 14, 1816, was married to Samuel J. Foust in 1842, coming to Iowa with her husband in 1864.

Five children survive her, three of whom reside in this county, William, of this city, Mrs. Campbell, of Pitcher township, and Henry, of Larrabee. Her other children are Mrs. Angelia Wamsley, of Asotin, Wash., and Jacob Foust, of Fort Dodge. For several years past Mrs. Foust has been bedridden much of the time, and death came as a welcome relief from earthly ills.

The remains were buried at Aurelia, Saturday Oct. 27. Rev. C. Forney conducting the services.
