Edgar A. Blake, son of Charles and Emily Blake was born Oct. 19, 1880 ar Dyersville, Ia. and died Nov. 27, 1931, at the Fred Russell residence in Cherokee, Ia.
He was retired from the Illinois Central Railroad for ill health after twenty eight years of service as a locomotive fireman and engineer.
He was affiliated with the Speculative Lodge, Burning Bush Chapter, , Crusade Commandery and Eastern Star of Cherokee. He was also affiliated with the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and firemen of Cherokee.
He is survived by his sister, Alice E. Blake of Sioux City and 2 daughters Ruth of Cherokee, and Frances of Fort Dodge.
His wife and 1 infant daughter preceeded him in death a few years ago.
He leaves many friends to mourn his untimey death.
