KayAnn J. Kruckenberg

Funeral services for KayAnn J. Kruckenberg, 17, of Aurelia, will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 1, 2005, at the Aurelia High School. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Aurelia. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., at the Aurelia Community Center. Arrangements are under the direction of the Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established at the Heritage Bank in Aurelia.

KayAnn died Thursday, April 28, 2005, at the Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

KayAnn J. Kruckenberg was born December 14, 1987, in Storm Lake, the daughter of Henry and Rhonda (Nikolas) Kruckenberg. She attended school in Early, and was currently in the eleventh grade at the Aurelia High School. In school KayAnn was a member of the Academic Club, Speech Club, band, jazz band, choir, and was a cheerleader. She loved puppies and going shopping. She worked at the Family Table in Cherokee.

Preceding KayAnn in death were her paternal grandfather, Duane Kruckenberg, maternal grandmother, Jean Nikolas, and one aunt, Robin Nikolas.

Survivors include her father, Henry Kruckenberg of Aurelia, her mother, Rhonda Kramer of Austin, TX, one brother, Jacob “Jake” Kruckenberg of Aurelia, four sisters, Niky Lewis and her husband Les Gocha of Osage, IA, Laura Fenton and Rachel Fenton both of Pipestone, MN, and Tesa Kramer of Kingsley, IA, her boyfriend, Austin Dwine of Ames, paternal grandmother, Rosemary and her husband George Jacob of Marshall, MN, maternal grandfather, Eugene Nikolas of Osage, IA. Also surviving are aunts and uncles, JoAnn and her husband Dennis Phelps of Schaller, Butch and his wife Lou Stephens of Los Alamitos, CA, Chet and his wife Carolyn Stephens of San Antonio, TX, Eddie and his wife Sheryl Nikolas of Virginia Beach, VA, LaWanna and her husband Jim McSweeney of Menomonie, WS, one niece, three nephews, numerous cousins, and other relatives and friends.
