James J. Scott was born Oct. 25 1865 to David and Mary (Ackerson) Scott. He passed away at his Home in Aurelia Ia. on Feb. 2, 1953.
Funeral services will be held today at 2:00 p.m. from Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee Ia.with the Rev. Purel of Spencer Ia. officiating. Buriel will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee Ia.
He is survived by 1 daughter, Agnes Blake of Arnolds Park Ia. ; three sons, William, and Chester of Cherokee and Nellis of Santa Monica Calif. He is survived by 8 grandchildren, ; four great-granchildren; a brother, John Scott and a sister, Mrs. Emma Ida Raper both of Cherokee.
Precededing him in death were his parents; his wife Lucinda (Morrison) Scott; 4 brothers, George, Winfield, Eugene, and David, 3 sisters, Clara Smith, Anna Hanson, and Sara Scott
