Kenneth Edwin Wilson, 81, of Santa Monica, Calif. died June 1, 2005 at the West Side Health Care Center in Los Angeles Calif.
He was born Jan. 20, 1924 at Ocheyedan, IA to Clyde and Lucy Belle (Ware) Wilson. The family moved to Sibley in 1925 where Kenneth spent his childhood. He worked for the Sibley Bakery from 1939 until he entered the service in 1942 at Canp Dodge. He was stationed at Selfridge Field in Mich. and Jefferson Barracks in MO. He was honorably dischaged in 1946 due to a disability. He was married to Margaret Pezak on Dec. 19, 1944 at Parkersburg.
He is servived by two daughters ; Terry Hancock and her husband James Of Winder, GA; Darlene Sellers and her husband Bill of Lawrenceville , GA;five grandchildren; Ronnie and Donnie Currier of Bullhead City , Ariz. Shawn Hancock of Winder, GA Ashley Sellers of Lawrenceville, GA Shirley Perrett and her husband Tom of Calif. ; One sister Mildred Terry of Cherokee Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Margaret, a son Gary Wilson Jr., a brother Lyle Wilson of Mesquite, TX; two sisters Virginia Fisher of Cherokee and Jean Davis of Fairmont Neb.
Private gravesid services were held at Afton Township Cemetery, rural Cherokee with Rev. Ray Hampton officiating. Mr. Wilson was cremated. The Boothby Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangments,
