MARCUS, Iowa -- Donna R. Kunzweiler, 46, of Marcus died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, at Heartland Care Center in Marcus following a brief illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Name Catholic Church in Marcus. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Margaret's Catholic Cemetery, Kimball, S.D. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a rosary at 4:30 p.m. and the family present 5 to 7 p.m., at Earnest-Rohde Funeral Home in Marcus.

Donna was born Oct. 8, 1959, in Mitchell, S.D., the daughter of Ray and Shirley (Collings) Kunzweiler. She attended special education classes in Kimball, S.D., and was one of the first graduates from Hope Haven in Rock Valley, Iowa. After graduation, she moved to Cherokee, Iowa, where she was a client at the Cherokee Activity Center where she worked for many years. She was very independent, living by herself and enjoyed being able to work.

She loved her family and church. She enjoyed the Monkees, teddy bears, swimming, dancing and playing slot machines.

She is survived by her mother, Shirley Kunzweiler of Marcus; a sister, Mary Kunzweiler of Eden Prairie, Minn.; four brothers, Bill Kunzweiler and his wife, Barbara of Superior, Colo., David Kunzweiler and his wife, Pam of Rapid City, S.D., Steve Kunzweiler and his wife, LuAnn of Marcus and Ken Kunzweiler of Kennewick, Wash.; six nieces; and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and her father, Ray.

Memorials may be directed to the Cherokee Activity Center in Cherokee, Iowa.
