CHEROKEE, Iowa -- Florence D. Erlandson Seavey, 77, of Florida, formerly of Cherokee, passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2006.

Private family services and burial were held in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cherokee. Arrangements were under the direction of Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee.

Florence was born Aug. 16, 1928, in Onawa, Iowa, to Donald and Irene (Wier) Tawzer. She had made her home in Florida since 1997, prior to this in Cherokee and was originally from the Sloan, Iowa, area.

She was a homemaker and president of the Raymond A. and Florence D. Erlandson Foundation. She loved riding horses. She continued her gift of life by being an organ donor.

She is survived by her sons, Calvin Towne and his wife, Beverly of Sloan, Iowa, and Hal Towne of Arizona; a sister and her husband, Norma and Jack Stevenson of Sloan; and four grandchildren, LeRoy, Travis, Stacey and Kerry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Erlandson; her husband, David Seavey; and a brother, Orville Tawzer.
