Dennis W. Mueller, 56, of Cherokee, Iowa died Sunday April 23, 2006 at his home, following a lengthy illness.

Memorial services will be held Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the Greenwood Funeral Home, Cherokee, Iowa. Pastor John Dembeck will officiate. His body was cremated and there will be no visitation. Online condolences may be sent to www.greenwoodfuneral.com .

Denny was born September 3, 1949 in Cherokee, Iowa to Emil and Kathryn Mueller.

He attended school in Cherokee, graduating from Washington high school in 1967. He attended college for 2 years in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Denny worked for France Grain and feed in Cherokee, Iowa for many years.

On July 3, 1982 he married Cindy Bomar in Elk Point, South Dakota. Denny was a great family man, always caring, giving and thinking of others. He had a smile for everyone. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Heath Bomar, and Destiny Cloud, of Cherokee, Iowa; Mark Mueller, of Des Moines, Iowa; daughters, Kim Koller, and her husband, Bill, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Sarah Petrak, and her husband, Dan, of Des Moines, Iowa; his mother, Kathryn Mueller Jacobsen. of Cherokee, Iowa; brothers, Jim Mueller, and his wife, Julie, of Pella, Iowa; Joe Mueller, and his wife, Carol, of Portland, Oregon; Dave Mueller, of Cherokee, Iowa; grandchildren, Hailey, Hayden, Adam, Gavin, Summer, Kaylin; a great grand-daughter, Hanna.
