Timothy John Jones

Aurelia-Timothy John Jones died at 11:45 p.m. June 12 of accidental drowning near Aurelia. He was 19 years, one month and 18 days old.

Born to John and Lucille Dreyer Jones of Aurelia on April 25, 1952 at Storm Lake, he spent most of his lifetime in the Aurelia area. He graduated from Aurelia Commmunity School in May 1971. He had been employed since then at Pampered Pork in rural Aurelia.

Survivors are his parents; four brothers, Jerry of rural Cherokee, Dean, Tom and David, all at home; three sisters, Mrs. James (Shirley) Beck of Cherokee and Mildred and Marie at home; and many other relatives and friends.

Services were hed on June 16 at Aurelia United Methodist Church with Rev. Robet Noblitt officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Wharton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Rom Steffes, Larry Steffes, Dan Mummert, Mike Mickelson, Tracy Coombs, and Tracy Ammons.

Mrs. Ronald Batz, accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Dean Will, sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "All My Trials."
