Sudden Death of a Prominent Aurelia Businessman

AURELIA, IOWA, June 11.—George Wharton, Jr., a well known Aurelia merchant, died Monday afternoon. About a week before his death a small ulcer made its appearance in his nose. During several days thereafter he suffered intense pain, but no one apprehended that it would terminate in anything serious. The ulcer, however, developed into a carbuncle, blood poisoning set in Sunday night and death occurred about 2 o’clock in the afternoon. The community was entirely unprepared for the announcement of his death and there is general regret over the sorrowful occurrence.
