MARRIED

At the residence of the bride’s sister, Mrs. J.A. Rankins, in this city, on Saturday, Oct. 17, 1891, Mr. S.B. Chapman and Miss Angie May Butts, both of Cherokee, Rev. W.L. Ferris officiating.

The groom is a well-known and popular young fireman on the Central, highly respected and admired. The bride is the daughter of Mr. Jos. Butts, lately of Cherokee, and a young lady esteemed by all. After the wedding supper the young couple repaired to the home provided for them on Court street and at once settled down to the more or less stern realities of life. The Masonic friends of the groom presented him a fine secretary as a wedding gift.
